One Thankful Mother

I never really could say that Mothers Day is one of my favorite days.I have heard the same from many of my friends and associates as well. But I have changes my attitude today...I'm happy for Mothers Day and I am going to enjoy every tid bit of what being a mother means to me and my daughters as well.We have so much as mothers to be thankful for.I would not trade my title for all the money in the world. Its been an awesome journey so far,and I am not going to put any more guilt trips on myself. My family is my most prized possession .It is because of me they are here on earth and what i have lacked My Heavenly Father will make up.
What a beautiful day to celebrate. The weather is perfect and what better place in the world is there, then right here in the good old U.S.A.
Did you know that:Knotts Berry Farm and the National Organization of Women will become Knott NOW. jfi...lol
Happy Mothers Day my friends!

Thankful Sunday

It was a great General Conference as usual, I enjoyed each session very much.I have lots of things i need to work on,thats for sure.I am so thankful for the decision i made in 1963 to come to Utah.I feel like a pioneer,: I guess i am in a way:.I hope my posterity will one day be able to say:I'm happy my mother made that choice she made way back when. From one decision came a family of 15 and still counting!
AND as always i have to leave on a silly note:What is the difference between Roast Beef and Pea Soup?.....Anyone can roast beef..LOL

Weekends are Awsome

I love weekends, but they go by so fast.I have so many good intentions but then "Heaven is paved with good intentions" Right?
But i have made a big decision in my life.....I am retiring in Jan.2010! It seems like a long ways off, but it will pass quickly. My feet and legs are telling me its time.
I have a thought for today...this is it.........Some people are like slinkies:not really good for anything but they bring a smile to your face when pushed downstairs.....just to bring a smile to your face, lol

Still alive and kicking!

Life doesn't get any less busy as you get older ,i've found.I can barely fit everything in it seems.Looking forward to retirement so i can do some of the fun things i Really want to do.Today i am going to pull weeds...thats fun...and clean my house....and later do something fun with a friend.Tomorrow i am going to the Draper Temple dedication. Now that's sweet. Then i'll go to bed and make sure i get up again in the morning, and just keep going....Life is good!Have a great day and take each challenge one step at a time and remember you are loved.

We also went to see the Celine Dion concert, that was Awesome! Now i am looking forward to Disneyland with Dayna, and Haylee.Still counting my blessings, and thankful for them all.

Happy Week

This has definitely been one of the most exciting weeks in some time. Our little boy arrived this week and he has brought us much joy already.I have never seen so many camera's being used in my life.We will have lots of pictures to remind of this blessed event. We had my daughter Melanie and her girls here for the weekend,{i miss them already}from Cedar City.We were able to have all the family together{except for Anthony} and play games and just enjoy each other.I love my family and am reminded of all my blessings every day.Have a great week and remember to STAND FAST THROUGH THE STORMS OF LIFE!It isn't always easy but it WILL be worth it.
